Ian Spence

Cinema has fascinated me since I first saw Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo”. This film proved such elaborate, creative cinematography and story direction. The pathway opened to my enthusiasm to motion as a medium to connect both fictitious and non-fictitious stories to an audience. I currently study Biology and Geography at Laurier and hope to continue and broaden my knowledge through a Master’s in Visual Arts or Documentary Journalism. As the new Senior Staff Videographer at The Cord, I will be able to produce creative new visuals for the paper. I also work for Residence Life as a Don, enjoy music, skiing, travelling and volunteering. The future holds a film reel of unknowns, but also a script for the writing. Take each day in stride; you never know what will happen!
